North Greenford United Reserves 2 v Tring Athletic Reserves 1
On a crisp and sunny afternoon the Reserves avenged their defeat at Tring on the 1st day of the season, by winning 2-1 at Berkeley Fields. Tring opened the scoring as early as the 2nd minute when a far post cross was met with a strong header that gave James Warrington in the Greenford goal no chance. It took Greenford until the 38th minute to score the equaliser when an Eddie Clements shot beat the Tring keeper low down to his left hand side. Greenfords second and what proved to be the winning goal was scored by debutant Jake O'Meara, who received the ball on the left hand side just outside the penalty box. Jake then drilled his shot back across the goal giving the sprawling Tring keeper no chance of keeping it out.

Boreham Wood Reserves 4 v North Greenford United Reserves 3
The Reserves lost by the odd goal in seven on the artificial surface at Meadow Park. Boreham Wood came out all guns blazing on an unforgiving surface that they have become very accustomed to, whereas North Greenford took the first ten minutes to acclimatise to this unnatural surface. However it was Greenford who opened the scoring in the 11th minute when Ollie Hawkins headed in a Liam Bird free kick past the static Woods keeper. It was short lived however as the home side equalised four minutes later. In the 17th minute Greenford made it 2-1 when Hadleigh McCullough vollied past the Woods keeper. Once again a short lived lead as three minutes later the home side made it 2-2.
Boreham Wood took the lead for the first time in the match in the 28th minute but disaster struck for Greenford and Matt Flynn in the next minute of the match. As Matt went up for an aerial challenge he was knocked off balance and landed awkwardly on his shoulder, dislocating it in the process. We hope Matt has a speedy recovery and will be playing again soon. In the second half Ollie Hawkins scored his second goal in the 62nd minute to make it 3-3, but Boreham Wood took all three points when they scored their fourth goal in the 73rd minute.

North Greenford United Reserves 3 v Hartley Wintney Reserves 0
This was the second meeting between the two sides in seven days, with Hartley Wintney looking to avenge the 3-1 defeat in the cup the previous Saturday. However Greenford opened the scoring in the 10th minute from their first meaningful attack when Ollie Hawkins played in Hadleigh McCullough, who lifted the ball over the sprawling Hartley keeper. For the remainder of the first half both defences held firm with both keepers rarely troubled into making any significant saves.
Hadleigh's second goal ten minutes into the second half was rather fortuitous as the onrushing Hartley keeper sliced the ball into the air and Hadleigh headed it into the unguarded net. Hadleigh completed his hat trick with ten minutes remaining when he just managed to poke the ball past the advancing keeper to complete the scoring and record Greenford's first 3 points of the new year.

Bedfont Reserves 2 v North Greenford United Reserves 0
On what can only be described a frost hardened ploughed field at the Orchard, North Greenford Reserves lost to their near neighbours by 2 goals to nil. Things might have got off to an even worse start in the 10th minute as an innocuous challenge in the Greenford penalty area saw the referee Mr. Aslam point immediately to the place where a penalty spot should have been. James Warrington saved the spot kick only for the assistant to wave his flag, indicating that there had been some kind of infringement. The spot kick was retaken by a different Bedfont player but the outcome was the same as Warrington saved again. Bedfont's first goal came 5 minutes before the break when a high ball was lofted towards the Greenford goal and ended up in the back of the net. Greenford came out determined in the second half but their endeavour went unrewarded. The second Bedfont goal came midway through the second period when another high ball was lofted towards the goal and headed in at the far post.

Suburban Football League Challenge Cup 3rd Round
Saturday 30th January 2010
Hartley Wintney Reserves 1 v North Greenford Utd Reserves 3
North Greenford eventually ran out 3 - 1 winners against a determined Hartley Wintney side in this lively cup encounter. The home side opened the scoring with their first attack of the match after North Greenford had all the early pressure. Nathan Blanks scored the equaliser after a telling through ball by Hadleigh McCullough. In the second half a Hadleigh McCullough shot was fumbled by the Hartley keeper and he dragged it agonisingly over the line to score a unfortunate og. With the home side looking for the equaliser North Greenford broke away and a Ollie Hawkins shot beat the keeper down to his left hand side to kill off any chance of Hartley taking the match into extra time.

Camberley Town Reserves 5 v North Greenford Utd Reserves 1
After another 3 week break the reserves travelled to Krooner Park to play Camberley Town. The home side opened up a two goal lead just before half time, however Greenford scored right on 45 minutes when Eddie Clements crashed in a spectacular volley from 30 yards. The second half saw the visitors playing down the slope and they scored three more times to win the match comprehensively.

North Greenford Utd Reserves 2 v Sandhurst Town Reserves 3
After a prolonged Christmas break the reserves played Sandhurst Town at Berkeley Fields and lost by the odd goal in five. Debutant Greg Dinham and Hadleigh McCullough scored the Greenford goals, but it wasn't enough to secure the first 3 points of the year.

12th December 2009
North Greenford Utd Reserves 0 v Hemel Hempstead Town Reserves 5
After a break of 21 days the Reserve side lost comprehensively to a highly motivated Hemel side who currently occupy 2nd spot in the table. Hemel found themselves 2 up inside 25 minutes due to defensive errors and a further 3 goals in the second half meant Hemel went home the happier of the two sides.

North Greenford Utd Reserves 2 v Boreham Wood Reserves 2
North Greenford lead twice in this encounter against Boreham Wood, but the visitors snatched a point with a 89th minute equaliser. The first half was goalless between the two evenly matched sides, but the second half saw four goals shared between them.
Romero Pinto opened the scoring in the 50th minute with a well taken volley from the edge of the area. Boreham Wood made it 1 - 1 in the 76th minute with a free kick that gave James Warrington in the Greenford goal no chance.
A minute later Hadleigh McCullough restored the Greenford lead with a lofted shot over the visitors keeper. However Boreham Wood equalised in the 89th minute to take a share of the points.

Middlesex Premier Cup Second Round
17th November 2009
North Greenford Utd Reserves 1 v Uxbridge Reserves 6
Greenford started this match positively and were unfortunate to find themselves one down after 20 minutes. Ten minutes later Alfie Howell delivered a cross to an umarked Sachin Sabharwal on the far post and he headed in the equaliser. The remainder of the half was reasonably even and a fair scoreline at the break.
However for the Greenford fans the second half was a horror show and Uxbridge scored five more times without reply to comprehensively wrap up the tie and go through to the Premier Cup quarter finals.

7th November 2009
Cove Reserves 1 v North Greenford Utd Reserves 2
A late winner from Liam Bird sealed victory for Greenford against a hard working Cove Side.
No goals in the first half but a suspected broken ankle for left back Ryan Phillips put an end to his afternoon after 28 minutes. An x-ray later confirmed no break but ligament damage, so Ryan will be out of action for a while.
The second half saw Cove open the scoring past make shift goalkeeper Dwauen Ackerman! However within minutes Hadleigh McCullough was brought down in the penalty box and the referee pointed to the spot. Liam Bird's penalty kick was saved by the Cove keeper but he could only parry the ball straight back to Liam who scored at the second attempt. Cove had their captain sent off and the match looked like heading for a draw, but with seconds remaining Liam Bird unleashed a powerful shot from an acute angle that arrowed into the back of the net to snatch all three points for the visitors.

31st October 2009
North Greenford Utd Reserves 5 v Leighton Town Reserves 1
Greenford scored 5 goals in the second half to stun second in the table Leighton Town at Berkeley Fields.
In a tight first hallf both teams had chances to score but were unable to find the back of the net. Eddie Clements was fouled in the penalty area midway through the half but his resultant penalty kick was placed wide of the right hand post. In the second half Hadleigh McCullough scored a brace with Romero Pinto and a Liam Bird penalty made it 4 - 0. In the dying embers of the game substitute Dwauen Ackerman (37) somehow managed to connect with the ball to score past the bewildered Leighton keeper to make it 5. Leighton then scored a consolation goal with seconds remaining.

27th October 2009
North Greenford Utd Reserves 2 v Harefield Reserves 4
In a highly entertaining game at Berkeley Fields tonight Harefield Reserves ran out 4 - 2 winners. Harefield always had their noses in front but Greenford matched their visitors in the first half and this was reflected in the 2 - 2 scoreline at the break. Alfie Howell and Ryan Welsh are both on target for Greenford. Greenford never matched their first half performance after the break and Harefield added 2 more goals to close the game out.

24th October 2009
Suburban League Challenge Cup Round 2
Sandhurst Reserves 0 v North Greenford Utd Reserves 2
A close encounter between the two sides at Bottom Meadow saw Greenford progress to the third round of the Challenge Cup. It wasn't until the second half that the deadlock was broken, when youth team player Hadleigh McCullough found the back of the net, beating the Sandhurst keeper high to his left hand side. With Sandhurst now searching for an equaliser and committing players forward, Greenford counter-attacked and Adem Mahmoud was on hand at the far post to score on his debut.

17th October 2009
Eddie Clements scored his fifth goal of the season for the reserves in this 1 - 0 win at Hartley Wintney.
The match was evenly contested between the two sides and Eddie Clements scored the all important goal 30 minutes into the first half. The second half saw Hartley Wintney reduced to 10 men after Nathan Blanks was crudely taken out thigh high. Although Greenford carved out more chances than Hartley, Greenford hung on at the end against the 10 men to take all three points.

10th October 2009
A very youthful North Greenford took to the field against Hemel Hempstead today and lost by the odd goal in five.
Eddie Clements opened the scoring from the penalty spot after the Hemel keeper upended Michael Walker.
Hemel scored twice in the first half and added a third in the second half to go 3 -1 up. Alfie Howell scored from a free kick with about five minutes from the final whistle but Hemel held on to take all 3 points.

5th October 2009
The Reserves got what their defending deserved in the first half against Chalfont St. Peter tonight. At half time Greenford trailed 5 - 1 but a much improved second half meant that no more goals were conceded. The Greenford goal in the first half was scored by Erhan Okay. Final score Chalfont St. Peter 5 v North Greenford United 1

3rd October 2009
A single Ollie Hawkins strike was the only difference between the two sides, although Newport Pagnell pushed the home side all the way in this blustery encounter.

29th September 2009
The Reserves entertained Chesham United tonight and a goal fest ensued with North Greenford coming out on top with a 6 - 4 win. Debutant Ryan Welsh weighed in with a hat trick, supported by a brace from Michael Murray and one from Eddie Clements.

26th September 2009
After an eleven day break the Reserves played Camberley Town at home and lost 4 - 2. Trailing 2 nil at half time, Erhan Okay scored for Greenford after his persistence forced the visiting keeper to smash his clearance into him and he then cooly rolled the ball into the empty net. Camberley added another and then Michael Walker scored a spectacular dipping volley to give the reserves hope of a comeback. But it wasn't to be as Camberley hit a fourth goal to complete the scoring.

15th September 2009
North Greenford travelled to Pancake Lane tonight to play Leverstock Green on a rain lashed evening. Double strikes by Eddie Clements and Michael Murray and one from Kevin McKenna ensured Greenford ran out 5 - 2 winners in a fiesty encounter. Both teams had a player sent off with about ten minutes remaining to end the match on a sour note.

12th September 2009
Jerell Hammond scores a last gasp headed equaliser deep into stoppage time to take a share of the points against Bracknell Town.

2nd September 2009
On a filthy night at Park Farm in the driving rain the Reserves finally opened their account against a spirited AFC Hayes side. Michael Murray scored a free kick from just outside the penalty box, that gave the keeper no chance. Romero Pinto scored the second with a header when he was picked out at the far post by Steve Coultas.
In the second Half Kevin McKenna scored with a header and Michael Murray scored his second and Greenford's fourth with a deft chip over the keeper.

29th August 2009
North Greenford United Reserves put in an honest and solid performance but a lack of composure in front of goal was the difference between the two sides. Hampton & Richmond Borough scored either side of the interval to record their fifth win in a row, thus inflicting a fifth defeat in a row for Greenford.

25th August 2009
The Reserves lost their fourth game in a row when the visitors Bedfont won 2 - 1 at Berkeley Fields. All the goals came in the first half, with Steve Coultas scoring the North Greenford United goal.
